Maint. blues
I once got 302 codes, changed out the plugs and coil, to no avail. I read before that the engine can sometimes mistake which cylinder it codes for. However, my code has been gone for 6 months now, with a "ready" signal even being sent to the scangauge, so I can't really troubleshoot the remaining slight shudder very easily.

#2 coil is confirmed as bad. Swapped 2 with 3 then 3 with one and got PO303 then PO301 after the first PO302.
Now I question the remaned coils I changed with earlier and do I change just one or break the bank for six new ones?

I have a spare coil I intended to keep as a trail spare around here somewhere. You're free to borrow it.
Or just come swap a coil with me, mine all work fine.
I own too many vehicles now. Let's leave it at that.

put my new Bilstein struts on today, flipped my UCA's, rotated my tires and installed Mark's top spacer.
My first strut had the little allen head rusted/stripped out, I had a time getting it off. Nothing went as planned. It took about 6hrs but it is done and rides better. Now to get some washers/spacers for the Skyjackers and do the rears.
Going to try to get alignment next week as well.

Bleh...
Was outside my truck today while it was idling... and I heard it.
I have the random miss too.
No codes, and subtle enough that you wouldn't notice it from in the cab. But I can hear it through the exhaust...
Wonder if that's why my mpg is in the 11s...

We have a 08 chevy 6.0 at work, it has the same thing happening, but it shows no signs of anything wrong. Just a random idle miss.

I notice mine most if creeping forward (like at a red light). For some reason the drive shaft/axle/engine system seems to resonate at the miss frequency, but only noticeable when creeping ever so slowly.
Donny, your mileage could be mainly due to the winter temps. The engine loses a lot of energy when warming up the block, which yields terrible mileage especially on short drives.

This is when mine does it. It's done it ever since Ive owned it at a lot of red lights.
I averaged 17.4 mpg all last Summer............Ive been Btwn 13.9-14.1 all this Winter. Terrible.

Could be a blend change, but in past winters Ive always stayed in the 16-17 range.

I have that same intermittent miss.. Had it for a long time now, with no codes and many things replaced. I notice it while outside of the rig, or while learching forward like James was saying. I just keep waiting for something to break so I know what to fix.

P0302 - Cylinder 2 Misfire
Parts: 6 AC Delco 41-103 + anti seize + boot grease = $58 after tax.
Time to complete: ~20 mins (body lift + short ram intake = cheating) + 1 minute apologizing to wife for working on truck in new coat.
Beers required: 1
Old Plug Type: Autolite XP Iridium (.049 spec gap)
#1 Gap: .052
#2 Gap: .059 (Ah ha)
#3 Gap: .053
#4 Gap: .052
#5 Gap: .053
#6 Gap: .054
Old plugs looked good on color. No signs of valve cover leaking.
New plugs in at .043 gap.
Broke one brittle wire harness clip.
Problem solved, idles smooth like butta.

SONOVA!!! 
Less than 2 weeks after having my entire passenger side ripped apart to repack the disconnect and replace the hub I found this last night.
Looks like Ill be tearing apart the diff side tonight. My truck is like the Dolly Parton of cars, needs constant surgery to stay on the road.
