Hey i have been Lurking for a while and thought I would join and make a post :)

Image

I have never been off roading before but would like to get my truck in shape to do some mild off roading. maybe some more extreme offroading if I can afford the mods to do it! looks like a lot of fun.

Im a welder from southern alberta, been doing it for about 5 years. My truck a 2004 GMC Envoy 4x4. Major jealousy with some of the rides on here, so far I have done:

Exterior:
-resonator delete
-Adaptors from Mark, wheel well trimming.
.. sadly that is all for now.

Engine
-PCM tune :thumleft:
-K&N Cold Air Intake :thumleft:
-Throttle body spacer ...useless?

Interior:
-Blue LED's too blue for me
-Alpine Deck
-Pioneer speakers.

That's it for now. hopefully more to come soon

throttle body spacer is useless and a CAI in Canada (assuming thats the Alberta you are referring to) is highly unnecessary aswell. 'Some' people will tell you that they are useless all together, unless you're drag racing, and the K&N filters let in a lot more debris than paper filters................ but those people are just paranoid conspiracy theorists

Haha. Yeah those were the first two mods I ever did and maybe didn't do enough research before hand :| in the summer I definitely notice an improvement with the CAI but not till higher rpm's and therefore I would agree its fairly useless. at least it sounds cool hah

It seems the throttle body spacers and CAI aren't thought of very highly here. They were the first things I put on before I knew any better. Hopefully I can redeem myself!

Welcome!

I gotta admit I slapped on running boards before I went out and got stuck in the mud for the first time in the desert. I also know a bit better now.

Are those 18inch rims?
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

Hey thanks :) ive been to great falls many moons ago. too long for me to remember it much. I have been to white fish and Kalispell much more recently. very nice place.

They are 17" they probably look big because they are on stock 245 tires. one of my rims was broken and I found a good deal on these used.
soon I hope to put bigger tires on them.
