Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

What did you do to your GMT today?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

And yet your a moderator, even though no one has ever seen your trailblazer and you've only recently lifted it... odd... :poke: :finger: maybe you'll come out to TECORE this year.

BTW, I've been lifted for almost 3 years and Trailshaman has seen it a couple of times.

All I hear is indecisiveness. I like a gentlemen who can commit and make a decision.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

Well I didn't do this but.....

Returned from a 14 hour work day on Long Island to only discover that our snow removal company backed into the rear 1/4 panel on my truck with their pay loader and smashed out my window and dented the passenger side a good 8" inward. I park away from anyone and everything yet somehow they backed into me and never reported it. However we have it on video so this should be a fun since I filed a police report, I don't know if they can charge the person with a hit n run since it was on private property.

Anyways, I think it's going to be totaled since they hit me in the 1/4 panel and bent the glass frame. If they don't total it, it will be a miracle....I never even got to install my radflo's.... :-(

It amazes me.... Wide open parking lot with 360* visibility and hits me, I drive a tractor trailer sleeper cab with 53' trailer through the Bronx and outer Queens and don't hit anything with half the visibility.

Hopefully find out tomorrow what they wanna do, if its totaled I know I won't be buying another TB and will have some parts up for sale.

I hope they don't total it out on you.
If they don't get charged with hit n run the driver of the pay loader needs to be at least standing in the unemployment line!

I've often wondered why that panel isn't replaceable, like the front fender. Hope you can get it fixed.

It's part of the body structure. It could be repaired, cut and replaced. But with the age of these vehicles, that's labor intensive and if the cost is greater than the value of the vehicle, it gets totaled out by insurance. Some will even total a vehicle if the cost is 50% of the value. Happened to me with my Mustang. Shop said they could fix it, priced it out at 10K and the insurance company said, nope, totaled and proceeded to write off a 19K car. I suspect that they'd probably recoup a larger amount than the repair cost by selling it on the secondary market. I was reading on Forbes awhile back that a large number of totaled vehicles end up in South America, retitled & repaired thanks to America's insurance system.

I dunno Cody, I had the whole passenger side replaced a couple years back when someone drug the whole side of their vehicle down it while it was parked. I can see them fixing it. I had the headlight, front fender both doors and the rear quarter replaced.

Well, technically it is a GMT...
Last night I installed 2.5" lift blocks. I still need to crank the front up a little more. Haven't had a chance to take any pics at ground level yet, but here are my best shots representing the BEFORE and AFTER.
