We completed our first ice river crossing,
Normally the river crossing looks like this......

A very different type of crossing.

That's kind of what I was thinking, actually... My thought was, this is an every-day thing in a lot of northern places. Why on earth would it get a trip report thread, instead of just posting the vid in the chat thread or something?

The roads are icey here and covered in snow, but the river crossing is not an everyday thing for the majority of people.
Therefore I thought it would class as a trip....
