What did you do to your GMT today?

Well these are equally costly. I don't want to save some noob the trouble of looking at the other thread, but I originally added all 4 of the different options to my watch list on ebay, and then forgot about it for a month. And when I went to pull the trigger didn't think to recheck the thread. If you check the thread you'll see why this might be a mistake.

But oh well, I want to try something different. Gotta pay to play, just like Moots or Barton when they pulled the trigger on the Radflo's now we all benefit thanks to the group buy.

I personally want to avoid breakdowns. I know they happen, but it'd be nice to avoid. I'm also to lazy to be bothered to remember to replace XYZ part every year because it's 30$ on ebay. I'd rather replace it and not have to worry for another 50K.

Depending on when the control arms arrive, I might try to install these this weekend.

On another note, here is another "pointless" appearance mod.



I'm excited to try these out, should arrive on Friday.

My plan here is to use the Dual taillights mod that is listed over on GMT with these and then update my 3rd brake light with Avalanche LED's (also a mod detailed on GMT).

Should improve visibility.

I won't make fun. I really like LED tail lights and the 4hi brake light mod. Upgrade the white reverse bulbs and they can be just as good as auxiliary backup lights with a cleaner look. Even though it is an appearance mod, it also does serve some function and is does upgrade from stock. Wouldn't call it pointless.

The only reason I haven't done the 4 hi brake light mod to my truck is I've been lazy lately, and I also priced out LED third brake lights; 1 for better visibility, and 2 for better cargo lights.

I don't think anyone would give you a hard time for mods that allow you to see or be seen.
Now if you bought one of those hood scoops that sticks on with double sided tape from the JCWhitney catalog........

what is this upgrade you speak of? That is one thing I have really wanted to add is backup lights because the lighting back there is so poor.

I have bulbs with 19 or 27 or some ridiculous number of LED in my reverse lights and they do really well for no other mods. Just plug and play. Nothing to it.

You can put LED bulbs in the lower reverse. I'll probably do that myself. Depending on when I get around to building a rear-bumper I might add additional backup lighting. I really liked Gordinho's lower LED's on his bumper. If you had LED's with switchbacks you could have them be red and then switch to white when in reverse.

I need to get with Mike about putting the LED like that I have had for the past 18 months or so into my bumper. Just hate to repowdercoat and with the hitch they will be at a lil angle to the outside with how the design is. I see his are as well, but it seems to work alright.
I really like the center mount reverse lights, but can't do that since I have a 3x3 1/4 wall tube spanning the frame for the hitch strength. Might just do the outside LED in white on a switch for reverse/loading/camp light n leave the brake lights as is.

Used some rustoleum rust reformer to slow down the rust so I can clean up the frame in the spring.

Did mine last weekend. I thought the exact same thing about the boot. It took two of us pulling on it to get it to fit over the "rib", but comes off with just a very light touch...

Finally got some tires.
After months of searching craigslist, I found something that'll work, for the time being at least.
Got some 245-75-17 Goodyear Wrangler Pro-grade silent armors. I decided I didn't want to get tires too wide. As much as I love the offset of some of wheel/tire combos I see on this site, I've decided for me I want to keep the wheels/tires as close to under the fenders as possible. So I picked up some height and kept the same width.

Slap some Westin lighted running boards on that thing and you'll have Rev 1.1. Of course, it will be useless in the mud, and on rocks, and pretty much everywhere but the mall.

The arms fold forward to allow you to put the bulb in the housing. Same goes with taking it out pull the bulb and the arms fold so they can come out.

I have no PC all weekend but if you find my built thread on gmt I have pics of them installed. I have some ebay led tails but the reverse section is similar to the OEM ones and the ones you just ordered.
