Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

What did you do to your GMT today?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Attached my loaner PCM and sending mine out to get tuned. Killed my battery in the process cause I was being dumb. But hey, found an excuse to have the wife to get me new tools.

Don't tell me you shorted the + to ground or across terms ? ;( Either way glad you are ok. Must have been a sight.

Nah, nothing like that I had to use my TB to jump start my works f-450 which took alot of battery to jump. So while I was doing the security relearn I didnt turn the headlights off so what little juice i had in the battery just drained from there...It was an old ACdelco battery and was bound to go. just sucks that I had my TB pulled in my garage halfway and because it died it locked in park so i couldnt get it out far enough to jump it. I will just chalk this one up as experience and move on.

Today I crash tested my GMT - the test was broadsiding a guard rail at 65 miles an hour. The test went well; minor cosmetic damage - the left front wheel is at a horrible angle, but the tires held up wonderfully.

The test confirmed that Nitto Trail Grapplers are really strong and durable - they have great sidewall defense.
I highly recommend them to all GMT owners.

I'm so glad you do these tests for us! :salut: I'm presuming you're okay as well? :safe:
The problem with the Trailblazer is, people think you know what you're doing.

Did you intentionally test this out or did the trail grapplers fail to grappler the not trail?
And definitely glad your okay...

No it was an accident. I was driving the AC Expressway coming home from the shore and I dozed off for a second (literally). My alignment brought me to the left (as usual) and I hit the barrier. I'm just so pissed. It was so irresponsible of me and I could have killed my girlfriend.

Aside from that - New Jersey drivers are evil. No one stopped.

Our MT Nitto Trail Grapplers are more dangerous than anything sometimes. Damn things grab the road so well that going through a construction zone everyday at speed requires 2 hands and a tight grip to force the tires to not follow the ruts in the pavement.

Hate to hear that but glad you're ok. I've done my share of sleeping driving and have been extremely lucky. Now with the kids and family, it's just not worth it.

That's how all my swampers have been. They will grab a crack in road and take you for a ride.

At least you can admit your mistake and you learned from it. Friend of mine did something similar while I was in the car and drove into the median, but wouldn't own up to falling asleep. Made some BS excuse. Needless to say, I don't drive with him anymore.

I ordered some ORTB stickers, a full kit of MDB armor, 88 springs, arranging a pickup for a dirt cheap 8.6 axle, found a time to send my PCM in for tuning, and may have found a pair of wheels and Trail Grapplers for free. In other words, things are moving along rather quickly..

At first, I thought you had literally done exactly what I had done until I came across the axle-- then realized you forgot to quote me.

Yeah, we'll see. Stepdad's friend had a 2500 mall crawler, but sold it when he realized he realized he wasn't 20 anymore. Took the wheels and tires off before selling and they've been sitting since. He wants them gone. Gotta figure out if they're dry rotted or not, though. And what offset the rims are.. and bolt pattern..

Stuck the 35 12.5 15 Big O AT's on the 15x10 wheels on the truck. They are significantly smaller than the treadwrights, but so quiet it sounds like my exhaust fell off as it is all I hear. I need to figure out some new tires and selling the old ones to get something in between I do believe.
