Hello all, just want to introduce myself, I am getting ready to retire from the Army after over 17 years of service and several deployments to Iraq. I have had my Trailblazer since '06. I am joining this site on the recommendation from my son. I have a '05 Trailblazer EXT LS that is totally stock. I would like to do some minor mods to it to make it a little better for off road usage, but nothing extreme. The only thing I have already done to it is added a K&N air filter, and an Optima Red Top battery. Any advice is welcomed.

Well boy oh boy, you're in for a real treat. How is your son familiar with this site?
Pretty much the standard minor off road mods include oil/radiator skid plates, 2" lift, Z71 springs in rear (if you desire), and 30.5" or 32" tires. But the mods become addictive. You'll get stuck somewhere, "shake your fist and say never again", then the obsession starts.
We have a few veterans as members, but always glad to get some reinforcements. You'll like it here, I'm sure.

howdy, after some time on here your definition of extreme might change a bit, it seems to be pretty common.

I always liked the look of Road Armor bumpers and was wondering if anyone knew if they made them for TBs.

Have you checked out the MDB bumpers? I love mine. I bought it as a "kit" with most features he offers. If you can weld or have access to affordable welding, it's a great way to go. Otherwise, his waiting list has to be getting shorter by now. lol
