Can I get moved to trail ready?
For future reference we had a lifted member get stuck twice, I'd say the thanksgiving run could count as stock impassible.

Thank ya Bill

Dave, you seroiusly comparing your "stock" pick up with 31.6" tires and a metal bumper from a 92 pick up to a stock SUV with 29.5" tire and a plastic front bumper that hangs 15 inches off the ground... really? That's not even an apple to fruit comparison.

Haha, you're right. I agree it's not the best place for a stock TB to go.

To clarify, you were implying that you were requesting "trail ready" status right?

Is it possible to arrange for a "Farm Rated" rating?

I am offroad everyday, however I don't think its worthy for a trail thread everytime I go out on the farm.

Thanks!

The rank is supposed to not only be a public display of your experience, but also a way to encourage members to post good trip threads, which should be the bread and butter of this type of forum.

I think we've historically forgotten a certain segment of our users, the extreme guys. :zombie: It seems there are some members that have moved on from the Offroad Rated scale, but have not gotten the recognition required. So to better cater to them, a new rank has been announced:

  • Extreme Offroader: Has posted trips that include some of the most difficult trails known to GMT360s. These trails would be equivalent to 4.5 on our trail rating scale.

This has been added to the first post of this thread.

The rules apply to these people too. Please post your request in this thread, and include a link to the trip thread that includes your proof and pictures.

I'm glad you updated and clarified those, I was confused by the original post. Makes sense.

Mike, they worked for a time, but I agree, they were getting outdated and unclear.

Kyle, updated with pleasure. Also - I don't want the rank title to be considered chintzy. If you have a better suggestion than "extreme offroader", I'm open to them.

So, does the wife get ranked too, even though she acted as walking guide for the driver for most of our Western trip? :)

I was going to apply for offroad guide after my trip next week, but I like this better!

Does it count if you break your truck while on the trip?

I led on this one, as well as had a couple of vehicle recoveries.

I never posted anything about this one here because it was just me and a bunch of jeeps.

Even if it's just you and some jeeps, please feel free to post up a thread next time.
