Hey everyone. I hope this isn't too much background for you guys, but I'm sure you'll let me know if it is :happy whip: I just bought a 2003 GMC Envoy last night (119k miles), and I'm looking forward to taking my little family out camping soon in it. It's all stock right now and in pretty good condition considering its 9 years old. I don't plan on doing a lot of mods to it, but I'm contemplating adding a lift kit and throwing on some bigger wheels and tires. Its going to be my daily driver so nothing too crazy or expense (wife and I are both in college). Anyway, look forward to learning a thing or two from you guys

Welcome Jeff,
make sure to read through the FAQ
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3060

Then take a look at the build/tire charts to get an idea of where you might want to go.

I expect this board has the most knowledgeable group of guys on this as any board for our platform.
The folks here are very helpful but are more inclined to help those that do a little research on their own first.

I'm in a similar boat to you, I'm not involved in anything extreme yet just building a capable machine to camp/hunt/fish with. Maybe I'll get to the more extreme stuff later. To me the friends I have made here are more valuable than even the information.

Thanks everyone

@chevycrew - I might just take you up on that offer. From your profile picture it looks like you've done a lot to your ride.

@navigator - thanks for those links to previous forum entries. Very helpful.
