Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Can someone please assist a new TB builder.

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

I have always trailed K-5's and now have a 06 TB. Its Bone Stock. I saw that some of the other users have 87 springs. What are these? Where do they come from? do they lift or just add support for heavier equipment on the front? What advantage does using these have?

What rear springs are they using, Tahoe, Yukon, ect? and what years?

When you lift the truck with the 2" lifters do you need to lengthen the shafts?

Lastly what size tires are "comfortable" after a 2" lift. I dont want to look like a lowrider on hydraulics, or a stomper truck where there is no room to move em.

I appreciate your input and I do know that every set up is different I just want to have fun and get on some real trails and not be stopped at the first difficult section.(ie chicken scratch hill)

Scott, I recommend you taking some time to first read through the stickies and announcements in the lifts and wheels forums. Then come back to this thread if you have any additional questions. Cheers!

You can also take alook at some of our build threads that most of us have under our signatures. You will get a good idea of what you want that way. Welcome btw.
