HIDs+Halos+Blue Int. lights

So my accident left me with a broken headlamp assembly, so I decided to finally order some HID halos. I spent a week trying to figure out which ones. I finally decided on these:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150384596830&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT
They looked the least ricer to me. After a couple more weeks I finally got them. I was trying to figure out what thes two wires were for,

Turns out they were to power the halos and needed to be spliced into the parking lamp wires. Here is what they look like

I love the look!! here is what they look like with the HIDs and the Halos.

next was on to the capacitor mod and as found on the OS the DRLs only run about 10 volts before the mod. After they run about 13.9 which is right where they should be as to not burn out the balasts.

All in all I had fun with it and it looks GREAT IMO. here is a pic of the pattern.

Nice! HIDs are the number1 mod i recommend for everyone. Iwent 8k...looks like you got 6k?

hey I wouldnt have posted it if Philiberto hadnt suggested have a sub section for electrical mods! And it isnt only for appearance!! its completely functional.

Halos. Sheesh.

The halos are only there because I dont like having wires that dont go to anything... And hey, if there is a bikini team out there I will get them to come over to camp!

Oh boy, I knew you'd get flak for this... fortunately, I have prepared a handy list of functional reasons for having halo projector lamps with HID bulbs.

*Stock lights broken and aftermarket is cheaper
*HID lamps provide more usable light output, useful in nocturnal offroading
*Projectors allow better distribution of HID bulb output, as well as a sharp cutoff to contribute to road safety
*Most aftermarket lamps these days come with halos, and you did admit you didn't know what the wires were for at first
*Everybody knows, bikini models love halos :cheers:

The lights look... brighter.

(And can't blame me, I had halos on my Eclipse because the stock lights were peeling when I got the car)

LOL I knew I would get all this. But all of Philibertos reasons are valid! Sorry Roadie, I think it looks good!

This would be true if his lights had proper Projector cut-off...notice the amount of glare?

HEY, I thought it would look cool. It does but it doesnt light up enough. So after this trip I will be buying some white ones again.
