Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

New guy checking in

New members: please introduce yourself here.

My name in Ryan, I've got an 02 Trailblazer 4x4 with a G80 and i'm in the CA Bay Area. The car is stock for now aside from a rediculously loud Flowmaster 2 chamber that the previous owner was kind enough to install. But that will be getting replaced shortly along with a BDS kit and some Z71 springs I have on the way.

My other car is a 98' Trans Am that's been heavily modded- 408" stroker, Dana 60 rear end, beefed up tranny, custom fuel system and some suspension thrown in there too.

So I'm new to offroading, but not new to cars and i'm really looking into getting my Trailblazer modded a bit and ready to hit some trails this year.

Hello all.

Outstanding! Welcome!! Watch out for dirty throttle bodies    TrailVoy Thread   and the notorious 2002 TCCMs. Exercise your 4WD system and change the TC fluid ASAP if you don't know the maintenance history and it's above 50K miles.

Welcome! You are officially the northernmost member from California! At least I think you are. If you ever make it down to Ventura County, hit me up, and if I'm ever in the Bay Area, I'll make sure to do the same! And if I can ever get it away from my girlfriend, I may chase your TransAm with her 2002 Camaro z28.

All the fluids are getting swapped a long with new CV joints and a lift hopefully this weekend, as long as all the parts show up this week. :thumright:

I didn't see too many Northern California members, nor have I seen any lifted TV's around here either. Most people tend to go the other way with suv's in the Bay Area and slam them and put on the biggest rims they can find. I'll try to represent up here for all the people who prefer functional Trailvoy's

Sorry, no pics yet. Still waiting for a few parts to show up, but once everything gets here I'll be sure to snap a few pics.

I'm still blown away by how much more aftermarket there is for these cars now. I bought my Trailblazer a little over a year ago because I really needed another daily driver (since my Trans-Am is way to modded to drive to work everyday) and someone gave me a deal I couldn't pass up. After looking all over the place for some type of lift and coming up with nothing I just gave up for about a year. Then a couple of weeks ago I decide that it's time to break down and replace the shocks and just so happen to stumble upon a site dedicated to nothing but lifted Trailvoy's! The off road market has come a LONG way since the last time I looked.

So big thanks to all the guys who started customizing and bugging manufacturers to get a market going for these cars.

Modding LS1's can get pretty addicting :drive: . I'm really looking forward to modding the Trailblazer though, and hitting up a different aspect of the car world :flex dirty:

Lift off is a success. Finally got everything in

-BDS suspension lift
-Markmc 1/2" spacer
-Z71 springs
-Bilstein HD front shocks
-BDS rear shocks
-New CV joints
-Fluid swaps

Not the most enjoyable job I've ever done but I've definitely done worse, and the best part... NOTHING BROKE!! The car looks 100x better and I can't wait to test this thing out now. :flex dirty:
