I've never heard of them "Just Lift Kits". What design was it? If you payed under $100 retail, it's probably the garbage outside the strut spacers. If that's the case DO NOT USE IT!! But I'm sure you did a good amount of research before you bought it, so I'm not worried.
Shocks will be personal preference. A lot of people on here use Bilstein HDs in the front as they are tried and true. I'm not sure who, if anyone, has used front Rancho shocks. The rancho rear shocks are fairly common, though. Ensure the length will be within specs on the rear shocks to compensate for the new ride height. (assuming of course, your lift kit came with rear spacers, too)
