Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

What did you do to your GMT today?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Thanks guys, I have some other ideas I may do to it before paint. My hope is that it'll keep the deer outta my grill and headlights again.

Converted my WAAG mounted lights from Halogen to HID. Not bad for free. I used an old set of my fog light HIDs. Had to modify the bulb mount a bit but they are secure. Pic doesn't do them justice. They are bright!
Can't wait for dark.

I replaced my stock rear springs with z71's and put in some washers on the shock to keep it centered. I don't have a picture but the shock had traveled all the way to one side and was rubbing on the plates of the mount. I also got the purple cranium diff cover on. Yesterday I removed the spare tire, but it was so rusted and muddy the winch wouldn't lower the tire so I had to take the entire assembly out.
To caveat on this I also spent the majority of my time today taking a coil off of my 89's and fitting them back together, but started to have some issues. When I get more time i am going to install them and post pics.

It was good working with you Anthony! Maybe we can get some other projects going soon.

I put stage 8 locking fasteners on my exhaust manifold. Hopefully this will be the final nail in the exhaust leak coffin for me. Didn't get a picture of the install, but they have little flags that get clipped into place to prevent loosening of the bolts, like the picture below. They really suck to try to get clipped in, especially on the bolts that are impossible to see. I hope I never have to unbolt any of those bolts!

Also pulled the front end apart and sprayed out the radiator and condenser real well, hopefully that will stave off the overheating on the interstate. Amazing all the mud and junk that came out of it.

Attempted to locate my 30mph rattle, but still no luck. I'm pretty sure its a front CV shaft, so I'll need to pull them I guess. Hope I can find time before a trip I have coming up.

Hard to tell without a lot of interstate driving, but so far they are fine. My 30mph rattle seems to have subsided after a day of driving too, for some reason.

James, I wonder if using some kind of evap foam would clean it any better. It's used for ac units for the evap coils.. Just a thought..

Throttle body clean, MAF clean, fuel filter, and replaced washer pump... nothing special, but always fun to wrench around
:)
Moved around the gear in the back some more. The cargo organization aspect is a constant battle for me.

 I'm pretty sure it was the darn brake heat shield! I tore the entire front left suspension down last night trying to pinpoint the issue, and the shield was the only thing I noticed being a possibility.

Either way, its been nice driving it again.

34/10.5/17 super swampers, limb risers, skyjackers, 8.6 rear axle- 4:10 gears. Actually deteted my tire swing. Long story short, went up north log caught the front side of the diff cover and tore it open. Drained it. Blew up my old 8.0... Funny thing is, Caleb was with me. He had the parts, we did the swap up north. Now he just needs to get me the front diff.

I still have stock arms in back. Still no scrubbing. I took 2" out of my front fenders a while ago. So no running anywhere... yet
