alignment came out almost perfect, caster was still slighty too negative. but good.

the only way to get it perfect would be to elongate the holes in the subframe, and it wasn't
out bad enough for me to do that, she rides perfectly straight down the road now..

I also repositioned my rear shocks from the stock mount, and moved it down 3 inches.
as 4in rear lift was maxing out my rear shocks, and had NO upward movement AT ALL.
drilled a hole in the frame, and welded a nut for the shock bolt.....easypeasy.

thanks for the ones who directed me that it could be done

If you decide you want longer rear shocks, P/Ns for Bilsteins can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3438

Doesn't seem like that's as strong as stock placement. ?

Why not just buy the right shocks?

Are those pink?

I think it's his wife's rig.

Tenny, you may want to lengthen the bump stops with that setup.

yea I thought about that, but the rig wont see any heavy wheeling.
(until shes tired of it, and its "officially" mine) but, for now its her daily.
and she said, "I want pink"..hahaha, what do I do..??tell her NO..haha

when I do take it over, a body lift will go in and (at least) 35s with
(at least) 4.10s.

I kinda hopes she gets sick of it quickly hahaha, that 5.3 moves

I don't like the location of that mount at all. I wouldn't take it down the highway let alone a trail of any kind.

I'd just shell out the few bucks for a longer shock... or keep the top mount and move the bottom, where you have a little more room to re-position it a couple of inches and still be in the safe zone.

The stock design puts the mounting bolt in double shear for a critical reason. Cantilevered like that is risky. I'm sure one of our mechanical engineers will be along soon.

I would box it in personally, or sleeve the frame and run the bolt clear through the frame and leave it in single shear like it is. I'd be a little worried about that setup, but I don't know what kinda loads a shock is seeing and what the metal of the frame will support. I'm not an engineer though.

Hope the wife likes the ride!

I'd have to see the mount in person before passing judgement like my comrades above.

The rear of my crawler has the shocks in single shear on both sides. Never a problem.

What's the thickness of the metal you're into there? I don't have a TB in my driveway to reference.
