Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Another TB owner from northern VT!

New members: please introduce yourself here.

Hey guys!

I've been trolling here (and trailvoy) for a few weeks now and figured it was finally time to post up...

I just recently picked up an 05 TB w/ 48k miles, one owner. It's an LS but it does have the Bose system(yuck), electric DS seat, keyless, and moonroof... (not sure if that's a common combo or not)

As for mods, it will be somewhat standard: marks 2.5" lift, z71 rear springs and most likely 88s in the front(have to research the front springs a little more), and new shocks obviously. Either new wheels or at least some spacers, and new tires this spring.

I have already ordered a Pioneer P4300dvd DD headunit, mostly because I have a 2yr old son and it's perfect (w/ a headrest monitor) for him on trips. Not that I'm not going to enjoy myself ;)

It will mostly be a DD vehicle for the family but I will definitely wheel it occasionally! (I used to wheel w/ an older 4runner and a 76 FJ40, and I'm really excited to see what the TB can do)

Here are a couple of the dealer pics (not like you guys haven't seen a stock TB before):

Welcome

Great post! With a phone even! You've reached a high mark already. Glad to have your input.

Now to turn off the radio and and get some dirty pics. We like dirty pics.

INDEED! This post sets the tone for phone posting. For all those out there that use text-speak "cuz i b on da phone", look at at what a normal person with a phone can do.

Thanks and yes, it's 4x4. I'm not sure on the g80, I don't think so but I haven't read how to check it yet...

Lol, Thanks! New here for sure but definitely not new to automotive message boards, so I do my best to avoid the "newb status" aka repeated questions, stupid/uneducated mods, and retarded opinions! (amoung other things)

And sadly enough, 90% of my research and posts will be from my iPhone. I'm on it too much! Haha

And dirty pictures will definitely follow! Right now, I'm just feeling her out and getting used to the AWD/4x4 system before I start hitting the trails. Which there are a ton all around me(one of the few benefits of living in the sticks)!

Hahahaha! Well I will occasionally use mild text speak (like u instead of you), but I do my best to still speak english!

Open the glovebox... the lid contains a sticker with all the RPO codes of your vehicle. You can use this to find the G80 RPO code (If it is listed, you have it), as well as the RPO codes for your front springs. Since you want to run 88s, you would benefit in knowing what you currently have. Check out the Spring Thread for more details on those RPO's.

Ah thank you! I was wondering what the easiest way to check it was! (running outside)

Ah cool; I didn't wheel when I'm in mass, but I bet there are tons!

Thanks! And mostly because it's just more of a PITA (and more expensive) to change it out...
