Hey guys, found this forum via JamesDowning's signature via another TB forum. Glad for the find, and glad for the idea about the roof rack!

Me and my wife currently own a 2003 Trailblazer LTZ. Don't have any current pictures of the car, we've had it for about 4 months now.

The picture here, is when we meet. I used to have 91 Olds Bravada, and this picture is after my future wife pulled me out of a giant hole I planted my Bravada in that was covered by water.

Damnest thing, both those cars were destroyed by flooding in our neighborhood. I regretfully drive an 02 Audi A4 now. We all make mistakes.

Anyways, we're not huge off-roaders, but we're big on the outdoors, backpacking, camping, rock climbing, kayaking. And I'm planning a month and half maybe 2 month trip out west, a grand tour of the country. So it's time to prepare the Trailblazer, certainly ain't cramming our gear and a husky into an A4.

Are you planning to hit tourist spots? or go behind the scenes?

A little of both. I've got more back country experience than my wife, we've only been married a year and half now. Right before I got married I took a slightly larger trip in 2009 for 3 months just traveling, backpacking and rock climbing.

We want to see Yellowstone, and it's got it's tourist trap areas just like Yosemite (The Valley) which if you've never seen them are still a must before hitting into the back country. :)

End of May early June time frame.

I'm still planning different route ideas at this moment.

We have family in Grove, OK we'd like to visit at the start of the trip and then a friend who is getting married I believe the first week of June in Rapid City, SD.

I'm planning either 30-45 day trip.

Hoping to hit up Pikes Peak if the TB is up to it!

Best place to start it man, and who knows what or who you will find along the way. I get to build my truck on the road and hoping to have it dont half way through.
