And desert season's just STARTING out here, as we fondly say goodbye to the mountains until the snowmelt next spring refills all the water crossings.

How soon? Thinking about the first desert overnight on Oct 17, then we have a new moon and the darkest possible skies.

Curious,... does anyone know if Mark is planning to represent his product here?

Welcome noobie!

Mark has not been back to this site for a while, not sure if he will see your comment here. You may want to try to email him if you are truly interested.

Since you're new to the forum, I figured I'd drop you this link to the forum rules: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=392 just so you're familliar.

Cheers, and happy wheeling. :safari:

hotness is hosting a meet and getting his 3 inch body installed on Sat. so I am sure he is excited and hopefully I can get him and some others that are coming to a meet dedicated to lift installs to join me wheeling in a couple weeks since they should be pretty close to where I like to go.

Mark seems to be stuck in a very deep and ugly ditch indeed. Maybe someone with recovery gear could save him form certain demise. Or maybe his bed is made.

Truth is he won't sell much here, probably never.

It sure would be nice if he'd stand up for himself and his products here, where it could really help him, rather than just preaching and soliciting his charms to the uniformed on the OS.

There are those that are pissed about this site. Kind of a slap in the face to trailvoy in all actuality. I don't believe that is his case, but he has lots of connections and customers over there, plus we are all lifted already.

I've gotten tons of value from both sites. Can't we all just get along? ;)

Sure we can get along. The new ownership of trailvoy is a slap in the face to the volunteer mods and unpaid admins and revenue-generating members, and Vertical Source can't even see fit to encourage or enable a calendar, tshirts, or stickers, for crissakes.

Mark's spacer lift is perfect for budget-conscious mall-cruisers who need incredible customer support because they are very needy. I think 3/4 of his customers are mall cruisers who won't ever go in harms way. And that's fine. It's just not our mission here.

His 3" body lift is state of the art, though. Just not my thing. I only recently did the 2" from Zone.

My personal problem with trailvoy is the phone texting lazybones who can't compose a coherent post with punctuation. Sometimes I don't even know if they're asking a question. Too lazy to read the archives. Too lazy to use search. Demand a step-by-step how-to document for changing a tire like it's rocket science. Can't use a meter if their lives depended on it, but too narrow-minded to read a book (!) on elementary electrical concepts. Book?!? What's a book?!?

3" instead of 2" body lift will do that. Are your body bolts grade 8?

I have 10.9 bolts and that what his kit has. Just installed 2 more this weekend and got some photos for directions and things. I think he is ready to market, but he wants it perfect. The biggest issue with both kits was hatchet's nut for the back mont had busted loose and would just spin, so we cut the body open and I got a wrench on it then swapped it for a washer and locknut I had. 2 inch by 1/2 inch little cut he needs to weld up, but no other way to do it.

FYI I just measured Mark and it is 42, but until I get lower gears or sas(more likely) I wont run anything as big as his 35's.

I agree, Mark will not do enough over here to really justify the time, especially since we are over there as well. I'm sure some people don't like this site, but they don't understand why it was created. As I understand it, we wanted a place for seasoned and serious off roader to congregate and share ideas, etc. When all of our postings were over there, not only did the noob asses start their own "how do I" threads, they also asked the same questions in our "I already did" threads. The questions still get answered, and with less clutter. Makes my "job" over there easier, and I appreciate it.

I for one, am surprised that he had a presence here at all. I don't blame him for not being here much, since we all know we can reach him via email anyways, and we tend to do our own research.

I don't want to make a big deal of this - but FWIW you're right Roadie, you've been there a long time and have put in more effort and content than most people, as well as many others here in a similar position - it wasn't my place or intention to "call anything out" - I apologize if it came off that way.
