Well, its been an emotional time for me forum wise. Broke up with the OS, started dating GMTN, now looks like I'm cheating with OFTB  Anyway, I have an 04 voy, bunch of boxes in route or sitting in my garage. I am currently in Afghanistan but headed back home shortly for a quick month long break to give my voy some much needed love. Pretty much stock for now minus a couple little things but markmc has shipped me a couple boxes with his lift and adapters, volant cai, fox 2.0 shocks, Blistiens HD's, Z71 springs, decided on some general grabbers AT2 on some matte black 17. Anyway, she will def have a little face lift when I get back home. In the process of trying to get a hitch mount tire carrier custom made too, swing out style. Well, thats me. Looking forward to finally being able to post something on here after checking the site without a username for the last few weeks.

Well I guess thats 2 ORTB members that are in Afghanistan! My brother should be there by now, or he's still in Kyweaczoietstan. (possibly misspelled that) ORTB member Pnutty with a whopping 0 posts. He bought his TB with the intent of following my footsteps, 2 days after he bought he got 2 weeks notice that he was headed to afgh for a year.

haha, with that compensation maybe i will head somewhere else :finger:

sucks about getting shipped out right after a new arrival in the stable, not sure where that place is in Afghan but I am sure its just about as fun as it is here, well probably not as fun since our current temp is -5F with lots of ice on the ground. I chose to come out here this time unlike when I was uniformed. Good thing for him and myself is now all the goodies can happen at once. Couple more weeks and I get to play in the garage 8-)

it's a shame that the balance in pay rewards you more for getting out of the military than it does to keep you in to do a similar job.
I have a neighbor, I think he was in the Navy. He ended up retiring from the Navy then went back to work for them as a contractor making something like 100k per year doing the same job he did when he was in the navy. I think he is about 70 now and just retired from that job. He saved his retirement from the military and never spent any of that, just built a really nice house and paid cash for it.

it is a shame, i think they should pay military more for sure. i know there are a lot of hidden money while in but for doing the job the military does is pretty much priceless

Welcome, and glad you made it. Hope mine is a familiar name. :coffee: This site was actually started by three of us in the first few weeks after VerticalScope bought trailvoy. A short bit of Googling showed me what the future was inevitably going to be like with their ownership, and I thought the offroad crowd I was nurturing over there deserved a lifeboat site. Took a while for the rest of the staff to get fed up and start GMTN, but the culture is supposed to be different. They are the all-inclusive noob-tolerant "we help all grannies across the street" kind of site. Here it's "prove to me you're worthy to come with me on a trail ride by doing some of your own damn research here first, THEN we'll talk about specific questions...." :finger:

So you're actually dating ME on these two sites. Here I'm just dirtier. :viking:
