Gots lots of fancy lights for now. A nice 2+ inch diameter log took out the sensor and outer shaft boot for me.

Thanks for the pics Kyle.

It was really nice meeting everyone, some for a second time.

A quick overview with maps from the spot tracker:

Day 1:

Head east to check out a few valley trails first. Then head up to Meadow Knob.

Image

Day 2:

Head down from Flagpole Knob. Head up towards second mountain. Dictum's ridge, then explored until we found the campsite. No night riding due to being low on reserve tires...

Day 3:

Hit 2nd mountain. Head back to Hburg.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow. I have a decent amount to put up.

And it was great meeting all of you guys and the trip was a blast. Finally sitting on my couch at my apartment drinking a few beers. Stayed in CT at Michelle's parents house last nite so I didn't have to drive all the way home yesterday.

And Mike, thanks again for the bumper!! Can't stop looking at it! I'll have to post some pics of that up soon too!

Did anyone put on their new armor on the trail? I can imagine a pile of plastic and bumpers at the base camp.

Nick put his on in the walmart parking lot. He was the only one that didn't have it on before-hand. In all, 3 members had MTA bumpers.

Did Mike's tires get him home ok?

Yea I put the bumper on... already had the rad and oil skid. Had to pick up a angle grinder at Walmart and use a plug at the Walmart gas station so I could grind down the bolt sleeve on the top of the frame where the bumper mounts. But I've been running w/o the bumper cover for a while so I didn't have to carry that around. Although I did bring back a bumper and rad skid for Mario, so had that in the back of the TB for part of the trip.

Yep, got home just fine...

Doing a set of General Grabber AT2 tires in 245/70-17, and probably selling my spare as tire #4 in the set of "lightly used" Destination ATs...

Looking at either the Grabber AT2 standard load for $650 for (4), or the BFG AT in load range E for $688 (after $60 rebate) ... Both in 245/70-17

Yeah, I got a tug over the one rock (the one on Dictum that we were talking about the Nissan on 35's trying to get up)... I was sitting on both sliders... I probably could have gotten over it if we stacked rocks, or if I had run at it a little bit; but the passenger side was 1-2" away from a tree... The little bit of pride possibly lost from getting the small pull was better than breaking a window or denting the body on a tree (on the wife's driver, that's 3 years old)... I probably wouldn't have gotten hung up on it at all if my sliders angled up, instead of being flat like running boards... Probably could have gotten up the left side like others did, but everybody else touched their rear sway bar on the rock, and I didn't want to bend mine or pull it off, so I went right... I was expecting to get pulled up it when we went down it, but there wasn't anywhere to turn around above it, so we all went down and turned around and came back up...

Walked up all the other stuff that some others were spinning while climbing, though... Skids and sliders got USED, but that's why they're there...

Just ordered 4 of the BFG AT tires, in 245/70-17, load range E, with the replacement certificates... Never in my life have I seen AT tires get cut up on the sidewalls like the standard load Destination AT tires did...
