the deadest I ever killed a deer was with a ML. I shot it broadside at < 30 yards and he basically fell over like it knocked him over stiff dead on his side. I've never seen anything like it.

Sept is a no go.

Love my muzzleloaders.

I didn't realize muzzleloaders could be rifled. For some reason I thought they were basically muskets.

There are a few sites that basically get permanent residence during hunting season. One site I've seen even gets a smoker tent of some sort.

Too bad late Oct is out for me, that would be a perfect time weather wise and hunter wise.

Yep, you see many more "muzzle-loading rifles" than you do "muskets"...

So you said the first weekend of October is good and the 3 and 4th are out? What about the second weekend in October?

Let me get back to you... it may be ok, especially if that is the only date in which we can reach a consensus.

Just throwing it out there, especially because i bow hunt mid September-mid December, how about over Christmas/New Years if anyone is up for cold weather camping? Or we could go around Thanksgiving again?

I still like Oct 12-14 but Nov. 23-25 would work to, we didn't have any issues with hunters last year.

November 23-25 will probably work for me too. And as long as I don't have anything big for school due that monday, October 12-14 will probably be ok too.

Oct 12-14 has been approved. The nov dates may be ok for me too, though it did snow last time...

So I'm feeling Oct 12-14. Good?

I'll request off of work now for October 12-14. And I'll pray nothing big for school comes up. Also, where is it going to be? Sorry if it was already discussed, I didnt read the whole thread.

Excellent! Glad to see some new faces in the pool.

When referring to a TECORE, you can safely assume it will begin in Harrisonburg, Va. I always say we can expand our horizons and explore new trails in the area, but I never mind checking out the same ones again either. I just know what to expect on those, and they seem to be plenty for most guys.

I'd really love to be able to make one of these sometime, but the 12-14 th is opening waterfowl hunting up here in the northern tier of NY.

Perhaps next spring or summer.
