When I went last year, I drove out Thursday night to not have to deal with any traffic on my way down. Took about 9 & 1/2 hours or so from Boston. Slept in my truck in a parking lot near the meet spot. It was def. a long drive, but well worth it.

Just gonna POP me some act 2 and watch the fun!!

I'll say pence me in for now. Things are touch and go with the new biz startup, but I *should* be able to keep the weekend reserved. Might have to roll out Friday night, possibly early Saturday. But that will all get figured out as time passes.

I may be interested in this. It's too early to tell what my work schedule will look like, but I'll see what I can do.

A few details

Who's gonna take the lead, If James doesn't come someone who has been may need to.
I'm gonna try to have topo by then also.

How many trucks can come, that will be another one for the guys that have been and know the kind of space that is availible to camp.

I can take lead if needed, though I don't have a TOPO yet...

6 trucks is probably a good number, though I think both areas we camped last time could take one or 2 more than that, if needed...

My Delorme stuff came in yesterday, and my RAM mount is going to come in today, so we at the very least have 1 person with real TOPO nav for this trip...

So far, I'm still looking mainly in for this trip. We'll see as things progress... I spent a bit more than planned during the big trip, so ya know, budgets a bit tight right now.

As for number of vehicles... 8 should be manageable.

I saw some talk about the last weekend of October. Is there any chance we can look at doing it the weekend before, on Oct 21-23rd? That is my families fall break from school and Tracey and the kids want to go visit my family in West Virginia. It would work out great to be able to drop them off and then come play with you guys.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.

There has been more than some talk about the 28th, as that's when it's currently agreed upon and planned, and when I've already got vacation requested and approved for it...

Having said that, if others want, we can see if we can get out vacation days moved to do it the 21-23rd?

What say all of ye?

I can't do the weekend before, I don't have enough vacation left and am working that weekend.
I could do the 14-16 weekend maybe but it would be tight.

Sorry folks, I wasn't trying to make changes, I wasn't sure from reading the previous posts that the day had been set in stone yet. Thats why I wanted to ask the question. No worries though, I am still going to see if I can make it work.

I wanted to wait until James got back to ask, but if it's cool with him we can rename this thread TECORE V. We may have to bend a rule if the Jeep comes. If not no problem we can just call it weekend in the woods...

If everything works out the way I plan, I will be able to meet up sat morning or Friday night. I'll work until five and decide what time to head out. Still need the ultimate approval from the wife, so I remain on the tentative list.
