Looking to hit some harder terrain this time. I have to make a decision on wether i'm going to need to do a BL or not to fit 33x11.5" (285/75-16) MTs. I'd rather not do the BL if I don't have to. I'm gonna' disco my front sway bar to see how close my current tires (31") get to rubbing.

Teebes and I both were bending fender sheet metal with 33's before we broke down and did BLs. I was one of the last holdouts. 2" Zone is sufficient.

I hear you about holding out. Part of my concern is the same as one you had Roadie. Re-locating my sliders. I think they'll look ok with 2"BL but there will be too much of a gap with the 3". Not looking foward to moving them. My other concern is that I am occasionally 'mom's taxi' and already have to bring a step stool. I'll need a short ladder for her with 6" total lift.

I will be okay with my ground clearance when i'm on 33's. I don't want to go over a 2" BL if I have to but a 3" kit is the only height available for my extended cab. There's a 2" kit for the crew cab (4 door) but the manufacturer won't confirm that the kit will work on my truck. It's been designed and tested for a 4 door.

Either way, Rausch Creek Park is gonna' be fun next weekend and I intend on flexing the ol' girl a bit.

I actually have 33" pro comp xterrains 285/75R16 with the BDS lift, Z71 springs and markmc's spacer up front, with no body lift at all and I don't rub anywhere on the TB.

So maybe you'll not have to either! But I'm looking to getting a BL also (ZONE)

^^^^ The difference is, I don't have my TB anymore . I'm wheeling "other vehicle" now and my wheel wells are a little different. Still have IFS though .

I was doing a little internet searching and I think I'll be able to make my own BL for about $150 less than buying a kit. Using the parts list from the commercially available kit, I can buy 1" shorter bolts and found a place to get raw spacer material that I can cut to the length I want. If I keep the height 2" or under, I won't have to re locate my radiator, fuel or brake lines. Just have to pick up a longer rear SS braided flexible brake line. I'm starting to think I would rather do a BL than cut my fenders. I could really use a better departure angle anyway.

One week ! Anyone thinking about getting their truck off the blacktop ? I think we're metting in RCP's parking lot around 9am sat.

I didn't rub much with the 33s, just a small amount of trimming. Marks lift only. I'm going to try 33s again after I get Z71 springs and hope I don't need body lift, I have short passengers as well.

With me my wheel well liners actually popped out yesterday on one side so I guess ill be taking out the other one today as well.

^^^^ Won't removing them leave your engine compartment somewhat open to water/dirt/debris ?

Yep, but it also makes it a lot easier to pressure wash the crap out after every trip. And maintenance is MUCH easier. The body lift makes it downright trivial to change the rear plugs and downstream O2 sensor as well.

I still rub with 3 inch body and 2.5 suspension at full stuff. I am amazed how many people say they dont rub. I even have the fenders cut a couple inches.

True but look at your offset. Mine tucked up nicely inside the wheel openings.

Aybody interested in bouncing their trucks off some rocks ? There is at least one guy from my other forum that is rolling up there stock. You lifted guys won't have a problem. It would be cool to see some of you guys up there.

Agree. Half of your tires are sticking out dude, in addition to the wheel offset you are running 305s

Looks like only four trucks. I like small groups. Less time getting past obstacles.

Anyone changes their mind, Parking lot @ 8:30-9. Probably the only group of Frontiers there .
