I have no idea.. Been having a exhaust tick for a while thought it was the gasket took it off change the gasket and put it back on.. Didn't hammer it down at all, just snug. Then we noticed a crack so I took it apart today and there is the end result of me taking the bolts out. It's never been over tighten, so im baffled by the magnitude of the break... Going to Truro jb weld it together for now. Hopefully it holds an seals for a while.

That's the Air Check valve.. Some places call it an exhaust check valve ex. Advanced auto, but it's part of the secondary air injection system with the air pump I believe. 2002s do not have it though. Luckily they just have a block off plate.

Just been driving it and loving the new tires. Tomorrow is a little fixing up/fluid change and fixing PS leak hopefully.

I had heard of someone else drilling and taping a hole and installed a grease zerk also.. Seems like a ingenious idea, might try it if I run into any problems again.

It would be interesting to see where you installed the zerk.
