knock on wood, but I'm still on 4 original wheel bearings!! 122k miles on the odo, and I think the off-roading/mods started at about 70k. Impressive, if I say so myself, considering all the water/mud, hot temps, road trips, heavy loads, and my driving style.

now that I said that all 4 will seize on the drive home...

I don't have any pics to go along with it but I rewired all my car stereo, grill lights, and light bar with 0 Gauge wire through the firewall to a splitter to 2 power blocks, One constant power, once switched.

Yesterday was a very long, 21 hour day. Picked up my 4.10 rear yesterday morning with 80k miles on it, got back to the shop and started working on the bumper kit from Mike. Once we got part of the bumper wrapped, we had a look at the rear, pulled the cover and found a G80 stuck in it. Any other situation, I'd been blown away to have purchased a non-G80 rear and got one, instead, but my Powertrax locker stared at me from the workbench in disappointment. For now, I'm going to ship it back and see how unreliable the G80 is for my ventures. If flaky, which I expect it to be, I'll look at getting a Detroit TrueTrak or similar since the carrier is not usable.

Got the bumper together and primered at about 2AM this morning so I can work on getting it sprayed the next free day. I still have the radiator skid to complete, but need to dig a bit more to figure out what's going on with the bolt that goes to the frame on the skid support, behind the radiator support. My frame doesn't have a hole for the bolt, so I'm probably just missing something.

Caleb, check on restocking fees. I ended up with the same situation when I found a G86 in my new rear.
I ended up selling mine on here to JD for something close (If I recall correctly) to what I would have lost due to restocking fees and helped a fellow member out.

I pondered on it with the guys last night for a while on potential options. We drove 2 1/2 hours, one way, to grab the rear yesterday morning, so the restock fee and tank of fuel isn't worth the hassle, nor the return trip. I've already put the rear back together for now, with fresh oil, and will do some test runs before heading to TECORE once I get it in the TBlaze. I figure I can swap in a True Trak later and then just sell the G80 to recoup some cost. I have access to a press for bearings and we can drop the True Trak in ourselves, so cost saved there, not to mention the Powertrax return would pay for the Detroit and bearings anyway.

Honestly, at the end of the day, I got a 4.10 G80 rear with 80k miles and another full set of rear calipers/rotors for $400 plus fuel, I'd say I came out pretty good.

Topped fluids. Full tank of 92. Hacked exhaust of behind muffler so it quit rattling. Reinstalled scangauge.

Swapped in the 8.6 4.10 rear last night, went very smooth outside my ujoint removal. ABS isn't very happy, pulled the fuse on it until I can get the front in this weekend. I'm just going to rock the G80 for now, pick up a Detroit at a later date. Also put a few more coats of paint on the bumper and skid in preparation of it's final pass with bed armor.

Yea, didn't really think about it too far, but front wheel speed won't matter in this case, ABS won't ever read right. Suppose I'll just leave the fuse out and pluck the bulbs from the cluster at some point.
