simplicity? hack the door, weld in a top bar, call it a day.

That's why I said for the cost of replacement doors to cut up, you could buy the materials to make tube doors just as easy.

The one reason to use a stock door type replacement is if you want to keep speakers in the doors for music purposes rather than try and mount some elsewhere.

A good notch could be cut from the top of the main door body to give more visibility, it's just that cost per door for most is excessive as Kyle mentioned. Making building tube doors a lower cost option that no one has done yet.

Maybe this could be another MDB product in the wings???

Something like these. More protection than tube. Re-use stock latch and pins. Really rather simple if you have the doors.

That would be ok if you have dry weather or live were it's warm and it's not winter ;), would make a real mess inside TB going through a mud hole, etc.

Dang it! I AM still a city boy. lol I don't want THAT much mud in my truck. I just sold a jeep who had taken the doors off and done a lot of mudding. Honest to god, a full 1" of mud on the carpet. No Thanks. lol

You must have a nice earthie smell every time you turn on the AC or heat is on. ROFL! Do the intake vents pull air in from the wheels wells? I thought it pulled air from up top behind the hood. Yes showing my ignorance.

It a 15 min job to take doors on and off according to regulator. You can DD drive and swap it for a day or a trial ride or whatever. Obviously you don't need or want half doors, but some of us would love them.

More visibility would be great. Especially out the passenger side. I can hang my head out and see pretty well out the driver side. But without a spotter or a passenger you're going by feel. If the doors on my truck weren't so heavy and so hard to remove, I'd love to make a ghetto set of tube doors to put on for the trail or a nice day. With how easy it is to remove the TB doors, I'd be very tempted to try a set.

I can't decide which one I like the most. But, since I banged up a rear door pretty good at SMORR, I think the tube doors will be a winter project.

The second Jeep makes most sense. When the insurance agent asks if it had door you can say: "Yes, yes it did".

Those grand Cherokee ones would be far better for our rigs. Hides the underneath of seat and with how our panels flow it would help keep a lil crap out as the lower door angles out some. I would leave a little more door and have it about even with top of seat bottom.

Been looking and emailling for doors off parts TB, but 200 is best I find per door. If I could fins a pair for 100, they would be cut ASAP.

I'd try to get some from work but they are in such high demand I can't get them for cheap. maybe I can find a roll over that only smashed the top of the doors. I'll let you know if I ever see some.
