Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

What did you do to your GMT today?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

I meant where is your oil pan skid, not transmission skid.

You have a bumper and no skid plate for your oil pan? And you wanted to give me a hard time. :p
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

Also I added bolt head protectors. Things I just ran out of energy for before the first install. I wish I could have found the right size pipe for the bolt head protectors on the Radiator Skid. I just ran out of energy on that one too. At least I put the gussets on the Radiator Skid as I was supposed to do in the first place.

The main reason I don't have a bumper is because of the same reason I have uncompleted sliders in my garage. JorDanee's step dad made a lot of promises and we where going to build a bunch of custom stuff. It's been close to a year, and well, now I'll be buying Mike's bumper right after the Radflo's. It's one of those family deals where you don't want to say to much bad stuff, but ya know. That's where I'm at.

You know it's all in good fun  eventually we're all going to finally kick some back together. I'm still kicking myself over TECORE.

BUY A WELDER
Dude, you have ambition. All you need is a few tools. Welder, Touch, couple of grinders, 14" cutt off tool... And your on your way! I don't know of anybody who regrets building there own stuff.
Which Mike are you buying the bumper from?

Very observant TByoda! But no. This was intentional. With the 6.0L SS engine, I had 2 3/4" clearance at that point to my oil pan. I welded the plate to the inside because I figured it gave me that little extra ground clearance. :flex dirty:

Yeah I might. I'm kind of a minimalist when it comes to stuff. I already have a cut off tool and some other things, but not a welder.

Bolt protectors are correct. I switched sides of the skid for the hole cover thing. It serves no function for me... so why put it where it can catch on things.

Why have the hole at all then?
The problem with the Trailblazer is, people think you know what you're doing.

The hole was there when I bought the Oil Pan Skid Plate Kit, from MDB. I'm very happy with it. Before I painted it, it had some deep gouges in it, but no warps or bends. Perfect fit and function.
