Something not working right?

by JCrayton99 » Sat Sep 15, 2012 5:31 pm

Just got an air compressor the other day, topped of the gf tires and filled a tank I have to ~80 psi. Put it away in my truck and moved on.
Today, I was hard wiring it in and getting it all set up, and now it wont build pressure. As soon as it gets a load on it, it just falls on its face. Ive torn it apart, and see nothing wrong. I deburred a few holes and used some silicone to seal everything up a little better, but no change.

Anybody have any other ideas? Or should I just buy a new one and keep this for parts because I cant leave well enough alone and messed with it... :slap:

Did you get it used, or with a warranty?

Check the voltage at the compressor motor under load, I'm wondering if you have a bad power or ground somewhere that's acting as a near open. What all did you do to it?
