Grille

Something not working right?

by RyansTBLS » Wed Mar 28, 2012 3:28 pm

Ok, I'm sure this is a stupid question, not even sure it goes here, I want to replace the grille. I found the clips and unclipped it, but it's still tied to the chrome bar that goes across. I can't seem to figure out how that releases, seems to be tied in by the headlights, which for some reason seem to be stuck. Am I missing a screw ( ) or clip somewhere? :wallbash:

So it's clipped on the ends by the headlights?

Helps if you can stick something in behind the chrome trim to pry it out gently.

There are two clips on each "chrome" side.

Ok a couple more questions, is there a clip in behind the bowtie? and would it work with something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Westin-34-0700-Po ... &carId=003

(let me know if the link doesn't work)

I replaced my grille with expanded steel and headlight filler panels after breaking the stock one.

The bowtie on my 02 had 2 plastic rods that went through then a sheetmetal type nut on the inside.

Didn't think it came that far up on the front above the bumper. :poke:
I will be getting both skidplates from mike once I get closer to working on the underside of the car, you know when it's not raining :happy whip:

If you need a metal plate in front of the rad like that you don't need a TB you need a tank, or get a snowplow!
