Something not working right?

also to note, alot of the guys with stiffer springs also have alot of weight in the front now with steel bumpers, skids and winches. i would probably have these issues without all the added weight up front. the 87's put me back height wise to were i was with a stock bumper stock springs and marks kit.

Yea that is my goal bumper and winch just doing it one step at a time. I knew it would drive different once more height was added without a bumper. also waiting on Mike for the rad skid. thank you for the input.

It may be a good idea to lift your front end up and try to spin your tires. Make sure you're not feeling resistance. If you feel a barrier or resistance 3 times per rotation (or if the tire will not rotate at all), you are exceeding the max angle of the inner tripod joint.

I just had mine up Sunday and no resistance in rotation. Be a good thing to try.

I had vibration up front after I had the 86's installed with the BDS spacer lift and markmc's shim spacer. At that time I only had a bull bar up front but I purchased a brush guard which added some weight and the springs have softened up some so the vibration has decreased a lot since they were first installed.

Did you align after changing parts in the frontend?

Yeah I measured tonight I actually have some negative rake going on. The front is actually almost a half inch higher than the back so I think I might take Marks half inch spacers out and level it out a bit. Last time I was out in Jackson with Mario I went a little crazy coming up some hills fast and brought the front end off the ground so hopefully its not a lower ball joint or something else. I was actually trying to compensate for added weight once the bumper and winch went on after the body lift like everyone else. I can always put the shim back in if needed. does anyone have 87's or 88's with the shim in? Hardtrailz you just have 88's in there right and Marks 2.5" lift correct? Also Thanks for the input James, makes sense so the shims come out. replacing the cv shaft tomorrow flipping the uca's and removing shims. Then thurs morning ,if not friday morning alignment time.

I had 88 w marks full kit with both in and out spacers. No issue. Swapped to marks new lift w the 88 and gained 3/4 inch height maybe and it vibrated until aligned. I had done lots of tweaking and changing to the front in between...tie rod upper and lower ball joints. Definitely needed aligned before extra height but didn't notice vibe until the new kit and then a simple alignment has me all fixed up. I think I am near 44 inches ground to fender now.

Damn 44"! Nice. well if your that high with no issues then there shouldnt really be a reason I cant do the same,at least that is what i think. I keep going back and forth on what to do..lol maybe i will leave em in and align if it still vibes then take em out? ahh I need a drink. :druken:

I think it was 42.5 before the 35s so about 44. I need to measure

i'm 38 1/2" in the back and about 39" in the front on 32" tires so if the shims cam out I would be pretty level. might just keep em in go from there..

You're at 39" in the front without a Body Lift? Damn, that's pretty tall for just the suspension.

BTW- You're truck is SHARP, I love that Silver color.

Yup just about 39" in the front with Marks shim. Thank you for the compliment! I like the silver black look(rims) gotta tint the front windows then it will look bad ass.

I am running 87s and marks 2" and his 1/2" shim. I don't have any extra weight on the front and I don't have any vibration. But I have quite a rake. I have both Z71s and Marks 2" spacer in the rear suspension on 32s. I have not measured to the fender though.

Little update. Went to Mario the magician's house. I assisted, well actually got in his way, maybe helped a little, anyway he replaced the cv half shaft (driver side) with a new seal, old one was ok, kept Marks 1/2" spacer in and flipped uca's. Everything went fairly smooth. Guess what.....thats right shaking is GONE(crossing my fingers) my ABS light is on and stabilitrak light(say needs to be serviced) Anyway everything works awesome, alignment on friday morning! Mario big THANKS to you my friend, your the champ!

Those issues were due to my wheel hub sensors...may check them.

Your talking about the ABS sensor located on the wheel hub? Yea we were real careful covering then to keep away dirt and when we put it back in we put grease on the tip and the rest of it was spotless fit right in and tightened like a champ...dont know what else to do but I guess re-check?

Too much grease? I would check it. Make sure plug on frame is tight. I had one in but not clipped and drove me nuts finding it
