AC / Heater control knob malfunction

Something not working right?

by 06MidnightBlue » Tue Sep 11, 2012 9:06 pm

So the AC power knob works all the way to option 4, but when I switch to 5 all power to the system shuts off, as if I'm turning it back to 0.

This happens in both heat and cold modes. Is there anything I can do to diagnose this? Or should I start by replacing the control panel?

Here's a pic of my model for reference:

Might be something with the HVAC, hopefully roadie or one of them will help out, I'm not too familiar with all that interior stuff. If it makes you feel better though. Mine hasn't worked on 1 for the past 2 years lol. Sorry I couldn't be more help

I replaced mine a few months ago and still have the problem from time to time. Same as before I replaced it.

Bazinga.
This is an aggressive post. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate a post of this quality and depth.
