Put the locker in and it drives .... but it has issues . I've NEVER been able to burn rubber ever , even trying to power brake it . I can now just step on the gas and peel out with smoke for 200 feet easy . And this is with 3.42 gears and 35 inch tires . Problem is the locker is not engaging . Its clicking around corners and sometimes driving in a straight line . Off road only one back tire is getting wheel spin , drivers side .

Its crazy torquy when you put it in gear too . Seems like the teeth aren't letting it engage propper .
HELP !

Sounds to me like something is either too loose, too tight, or not fully seated. I really wish i could help more, but I've never installed one of these. I've read about some problems with these diff having problems staying engaged at first, but not failing to do so. Hopefully someone else will chime in, but I will try to find a helpful answer.

Did you check the backlash? Did you make sure the gears are set up properly? Here is a great article from Pirate for setting up the gears. http://www.pirate4x4.com/articles/tech/billavista/Gear_Setup

The gears are not coming out to install this locker, just replacing the spider gears with this unit. So no need to deal with the gears/ backlash.

Now I'm not sure of your problem, mine will scrub the tire around a turn occasionally, mostly when its wet out. Other than that I cannot tell its there. And off road its 100% there and noticeable, because climbing rocks is much easier.

Really only thing I can think to say is, did you follow the instructions carefully? Its been a few months since I did mine and my install manual is not right in front of me, so its not fresh in my mind...

Dig out your instructions and do the test at the end that involves rotating one wheel until it locks then rotating the other wheel.

Report back with your results.
