I like the new layout. It's not meant as a punishment and a few mistakes or omissions may have occurred that individual users will have to ask to have corrected.

Overall, it cleans up this section of the forum and for those willing to put in the effort, a way to advance in their eyes. Those of us still in Mall Rated either belong there or need to speak up and get things corrected.

It is in no way the responsibility of Management to hold our hands and ensure everything is 100% correct. They have enough to do as it is. Much like joining, it is up to the user to post in the Introduction area first or they will get hazed for asking obvious easy to find w/search questions when they don't. As much as we'd like for them to do it all correctly, we do expect them to "man" up as it were and take it until they learn to do it correctly.

Give it time for folks to get what they think they need corrected and I think we'll see a positive use from this.

THague90- I really like those cab marker lights. I actually looked for the tear dropped shaped ones when I was at a truck stop the other day. Are those the LED lights?

They are LED. I like the way they look but Im not happy with the quality of the lights (eBay). I might end up ordering a higher quality light from a semi-truck supply site. I want smoked ones still to match the rest of the black trim. I haven't really looked around yet though. so many other projects to spend my money on and these ones work for now.

It's a start. I don't claim to be a fabricator by any means. In fact I didn't even know how to weld before I started the oil skid... And really... I still am not entirely sure what I'm doing. Lol. but I have shackle mounts to put in and I am going to wait on some of the finishing touches untill I put in A body lift. I want it to flair up on the ends and I am going to ad a sheet from the front top edge to the bottom of the grill once I raise it. Of course fill the rest in to match. But I tested the receiver with some increasingly difficult winch pulls. Did not bend or break any part of the bumper. Bolts came out smooth and the bumper slid off the frame easy for more work.

Haha yeah. I think that pose might be "is that a bug bite". She was helping with the design phase and moving the stock steel around so I could mark it up before cutting.

Cedd, make sure you practice with your farm jack a little before you need it.
I made sure to try hi-lift a few times and the first few times is a little nerve wrenching when you think about all that weight and that handle has a lot of stress on it.

I'm a cheap skate and buy most of my tools from HF but for my Hi-Lift I felt like I needed the real thing.
Let us know how it works out for you and if the add-ons like the lift mates work for you.

THague90 I had the same problem with my massive parts as well. Pretty sure they're just slapping shit together that matches the needed length.

I'm noticing that both trucks listed here that had issues are 2003 models. Is it possible that they changed those arms/mounting in 2004?

I will get measurements of my old parts tomorrow to see. Can anyone else measure their stock control arms/panhard bar from a later model?

You want the length of them or where they mount? I've got some 2004 Parts I can measure too.

Could be, these where designed for the SS technically. They're just sold here to us because they happen to fit. There could be minor differences.

We're looking at where they mount. More precisely, the width of the arms' mounting points where the bolt goes through.

Bcchevy wrote:I have a 03 I can get some if needed!

Well I'm going to measure my 03 parts (sitting in the back of my truck right now). I'm not curious enough to measure the openings. What we still need is someone to measure a set of 04 or later parts. Assuming if a change was made that it was between 03 & 04. What would be really nice would be to get measurements from all the years we can. (Gee... I wonder if this should have its own thread?) :shoot: :work:
