Need Some Opinions

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

Ok so I put my TB on the lift at work the other day and found that the front struts are leaking. The leak isnt bad, but due to the fact that I'm anal about the way my truck is set up, they need to be replaced...there-in lies my delima.

I can get a full set of KYB GR-2's on discount from work. The beauty part about going that route is that they all will be warrantied for the life of the struts.

However, my co-worker is telling me to stick with the Bilsteins due to their ability to take whatever punishment can be thrown at them.

I cant get the Bilsteins through work, I would have to order them through Shockwarehouse.com. I would like to know if anyone has ordered from here...are they reputable...can I trust them?

My other question to you guys is, what would be the better route as far as struts go?

I should also add that since I'm going to be replacing the fronts, i'm gonna be replacing the rears as well.

Free replacement is almost as good as indestructible in my book.

a fair point. however I dont know if I wonna be replacing the shocks every couple of months either. My TB just turned 100,200 miles so I'm assuming that its about that time to replace them and they just went on their own.

Lots of guys are using the Bilsteins, when you were searching and reading about other peoples experiences I'm sure you read all about shock warehouse. All that has been said about them is still true.

I ordered a set the other day and they came in the mail as expected on time.
I didn't have any issues that I needed to work with their support folks on.

I ordered my rears (skyjacker 8030) from summit racing though and they were back ordered.

What was the total price if you dont mind me asking? It says $121 and some change when you add it to the cart, but I'm just wondering about tax and what not. Might be slightly different for me, if you dont live in Cali.

Hopefully if you order from shockwarehouse they DO come in on time. Cuz good luck contacting thier NON EXISTENT customer service. BBB rated them as like an 'F' or something. But they do offer us 5% discount... whoop dee doo.

It was $121 - the discount came to $115.81.
I had to cancel my order to Summit, they were originally scheduled to arrive on 1/9, when I looked later they said they would be at Summit on 1/11.
I cancelled my order with Summit on Tuesday and placed an order with Amazon and they should be here tomorrow afternoon for about the same money. They came to $97.10 on Amazon and $97.91 via Summit.
Hopefully they come in tomorrow and the weather is nice enough Sat I can get everything installed and get my UCA flipped.

I have placed 2 orders from Shock Warehouse for 2 different vehicles.

The first was for my TB, Bils front and rear, this was before I knew about longer shocks for the rear, but what ever. Everything showed up fairly quick and correct...

Second was for a F-250, went ahead and ordered front and rear Monroe and took brakes at the same time. Everything showed up. I sent the parts in so my younger brother could put em on in his shop rather than me doing it in the drive way... He tells me the shocks are wrong.

I email SW and fairly quickly I get a reply to send em back. As I packaged em up to get ready to send them back, I realized my tard of a younger brother never bothered to open but one box, when it didn't fit where he thought it should go, he "assumed" They where the wrong ones.

I ended up putting them on myself with the brakes. Everything was fine.

SW called me to see if there was any problem as I hadn't returned them yet. I explained what had happened and that I would be keeping them.

I dunno if I would call it crappy CS when they are willing to take the shocks back w/o question and even offered to search for a set that would fit properly. Then follow up when I didn't send em back to ensure I didn't have any problems.

I would have no reservations against placing another order from them and plan to when I redo the TB again as I will have to do everything off measurements and they were more than willing to help on the ford.

I never said that they had crappy customer service. I said that had NO customer service. I sent emails almost daily for a week with phone calls scattered about too. To this day, I've never heard back from them.
