Nice springs man, I think that they should work fine. When are you going to install them?

Right on man. Can't wait to see the pics and measurements. You'll have to let the truck settle for a day or two to get a proper measurement though. Btw, nice cowboys poster in the back round. Just noticed that lol.

That changes things a bit.

Put the nonflat side down into the perch on the shock. Grab some 1/4"-3/8" rubber from your local hardware store (mine sells scrap for $2/lb) and use that on the top to keep any noise down. Just cut a circle out of it for each side.

I think that's still considered flat ground.

Either way when I get it apart I'm gonna play with the insulator and isolator and I'll figure a way to make it work. :mechanic:

Following intently. I need a remedy for my sagging fronts and I believe 89's are a bit much.

Good luck with install hopefully this will give us another option.

Are you referring to price or stiffness? Bc these are actually abit stiffer then the 89s just FYI. The only reason I opted for the 495lb rate is because I'm 6'2 250 so I prefer a stiffer ride also I'm getting all mikes armor over the next couple months. If these do end up still being too stiff I'll prolly go down to the 450s.

Yes i'll be up armoring my tb as well within the next couple months...

I always thought the 89's were too much, but if you get away with these then ill probably pick a set up.

I love my 89s!!!! Wish I got them sooner. I like hitting a dip at speed and not hearing thuds and rubbing. THey're just so smooth.

if these are 495 lbf / in based on JD's chart below that would put them at 86 N/mm or good bit stiffer than the 89's.
Do I have that correct?
If someone wants something similar to an 87/88 they want something closer to 400-425 lbf then, is that right?

Spring#.......Rate(N/mm)
15125881.....50
15125882.....53
15125883.....56
15125884.....60
15125885.....63
15125886.....67
15125887.....70
15125888.....74
15125889.....77

Conversion factor to english:

1 N / mm = 5.71 lbf / in

I think the biggest challenge is going to be that bottom perch. I just don't see it working - and if the isolator from the top does work, I can't see it having any longevity. Also, not sure about your lift... but the BDS has a lip on the inside. I don't know what the OD of that lip is, but it could prevent the use of springs with a small ID.

On a side note - we really could use an aftermarket lower spring perch for flat ground springs... that would blow the whole market wide open. (Nudging some of our fabricator vendors)

IIRC it's just a ring that slips down the shock body and sits on a collar.

Yea, exactly. Might not be too hard to fabricate something that would work (basically a sombrero with a hole in the top). Issue is it prob needs to be heat treated so it doesn't open up around the shock's collar.
