Where you live, I bet you don't even bat an eye at $5k. Lol....

Haha yea nyc 5k is rent.. Maybe not that extreme

I know it's crazy high down your way, I barely gross $5k a month and up here that's considered upper middle class. I'd probably die of sticker shock if I ever made a trip to the city.

Sorry, back on topic here :)

I was only making half that past 3 yrs, then employer offered to pay me to go to CDL-A school and become a driver. I'm often only home every other day for only 10 hours and only get 34 off on the weekends at home. 14 hour days are quite common and when I am not driving I have to throw freight. A lot of that time is also sitting at vendors waiting for pick ups. This week I am on vacation :)

It's not a glorious job title and I don't usually mention it in social conversation but pay was too stupid good to pass up, and I get like a million tax deductions.

The 5k was the old budget. Now its whatever I can beg and scrounge. What gets replaced is what needs replacing to keep it on the road.

On that note, where do you get the silicone boots for the CV? I got a ripped one.

Looks like you've done some reading...

For the CV boot, I made a big long post about it. Search for my name and cv boot. The part number is there as well as a half assed write up. You can pick up the boot anywhere.

I would strongly suggest the radflos if you can swing it. That's the way I would have gone if they were out when I lifted. The difference in ride is night and day. Despite sounding like they would be stiff they're not.

Even for a part time rig I would strongly suggest skids. Even with skids, 89s with the 3" lift may be a bad idea. Nobody knows for sure yet though.

That was a great write-up, BTW.

And this is why I tolerate living in Florida. No state income tax, anyone? Not to mention housing/cost of living is so cheap.

Are they same for inner and outer? If so I'll replace all four before they all fail.

cough, it'd still be better if we lived in Utah, but the real estate market is good here for investment properties. sigh. too flat. :(

Yeah... I just heard about that. So, technically, my M1 Garand is now illegal in New York. 70 years old, semi-auto, and 8 rounds of .30-06

Try Canada, buddy!

Its five rounds and just having a rifle makes you a gun nut.

I brought pasta that had sauce made with deer to a pot luck at work once. Did not go over well when they found out.

Has anyone got any experience with the two part boots? I'm assuming its so you can replace the boot without removing the CV.

Sounds like a bad idea to me but if they work well they'll save a few bucks in labour.
