Rear BDS spacers with Z71 springs and additional spacers

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

Are there any disadvanteges by using a additional spacer under the Z71 springs when having a BDS spacer already installed on top?

When changing the rear axle I m thinking of putting these spacers in with the airlift 1000 bags by keeping the bds spacer on top. My Z 71 already sag a little bit.
Any suggestions?

That's what I have. BDS on top. Another spacer on the bottom. Z71 plus Airlift1000 bags. I have a replacement $30 set of Z71 springs ready to go in soon.

I see no downside to lift. Better to have more in the rear in case you get hung up on a rock under your frame. As you go forward (if you can) the rock tends to get unjammed. If you are higher inthe front, you have to BACK UP to get out of trouble, and that's not always easy if your winch is on the front and you have nobody behind you to give you a tug. Then you have to relocate the winch (if it's on a multimount) or set up some rigging with your snatch block, etc.

Thank´s Bill, it is good to know that it is a "proven setup"!
I wan´t more lift in the back especially for the rear gas tank. Getting a spare setup of coils is on my list. I plan on making a trip to middle sweden in the end of april and still have to do a lot of work on the Trailblazer. I will carry a lot of things in the back of the Trailblazer on that trip. Your tip on having the rear higher than the front is essential in case of a hung up rock under the frame. I have no practical experience with that situation, so it is a good point to know!

Well, then.... In case a parking lot curb at the mall catches on your frame. :finger:

The famous US writer, Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) said once: "Always tell the truth.....there's so much less to remember that way." :excited:

I ran that basic setup for a good while, but am glad i went to the Skyjacker springs. Just seems to ride better and its just the spring with no spacer but same lift.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.
