Suggested/Recommended Tie Rod Ends?

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

The last thread I started bout the UJoints, Navigator suggested that I replace the Tie Rod Ends. I looked on Rock Auto and my soul are there loads of em. So that brings me to ask this: Are there any Ya'll Suggested/Recommended? Seeing that I might bet getting the lift installed this weekend I want to get them replace since I'm going to have to get and alignment after the lift is installed. Might as well do it all at once!!

I have thought about just replacing them to the 2500 Tie Rods, but I'm not ready for they yet.

So you Suggested/Recommended Tie Rod Ends.

Do you need new tie rod ends? No need to replace them unless you need them.

If it helps you any - I recall getting Mevotech TREs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, JD. But to upgrade to the 2500 TREs all we need to do is ream out that hole a lil bit, right? Everything else is plug'n'play?

I think on some of the newer models you don't even need to ream them out.

I'm at 95k and my TB has mostly seen highway miles until recently and they are still good.
Yours is a lot older but might be ok as well. If your TRE are questionable I would go ahead and replace them so you only have to get one alignment.

Caleb, I would check your TRE's or have the mechanic do it. I was just saying if they are showing wear/play you could go ahead and change them and only have to get one alignment. If they are still tight you can likely run them a good while longer. You can check them yourself if you have someone rock the steering wheel back and forth, if you see a lot of play or excess motion you know they need replacing. If they are tight with no play then they are likely good to go for a good while longer.

Truth. BELIEVE 1500 outers may actually fit without reaming (they use the same inners) but no one has verified that.

Perhaps I'll be the first to try that.

Yeah, one of the guys were saying that the tie rod hole in the knuckle didn't need reamed. When i measured the tie rods there didn't seem to be a huge difference in the angles between stock and the others.
