Stock shocks enough?

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

I'm putting a2.5" lift in the front and 2" rear spacers, will the stock shocks work? Or do I need longer ones

The stock shocks will work, but your rear axle travel will be more limited. Most people doing spacers only keep the stock shocks for a while.

Stock is never enough. what the hell kinda question is that? But on a serious note I did a 3" suspension lift and had stock shocks for about a month while BDS was backordered and the ride sucked a$$, put the BDS shocks on and it was like night and day plus I gained flex because the BDS shocks are longer. This by no means is a plug for BDS because I am sure there are either better or equal shocks to go with so the choice is yours buddy.

What I ment by this is, if the length of the stock shocks long enough with a 2" lift in the rear?

MrSmith gave you the answer in the second post.

Yes, they will work.
Most folks that keep the stockers soon upgrade to longer shocks because you are close to bottoming out the shock at normal ride height. Every decent bump will bottom out your shock and you won't like it and you won't get good flex on trails.

So it will work until you can get the longer shocks, how annoying it is to you depends on how/where you drive.

They will get you by, but I noticed just pulling in and out of the driveway was a crappy feeling with the stock shocks. The stock shocks were designed for stock hight so by lifting the TB you are taking that shock 2" out of it's spec operating range and you will notice it. And again like said before the stock shocks will limit the travel of your newly installed lift, so what I did was I lifted my TB and two weeks later when my funds were better I replaced the rears with longer shocks.

If I may translate: they said "no, you'll need longer, but it is driveable with the stockers short term". Funny bunch, sometimes.

Part numbers, pros and cons, and this answer are all in here somewhere already; this site expects you to look it up. It can be a pia, but is far better than the OS where all you can find is the same question asked/answered over and over and over and over... :wallbash:
