Ready lift tire size question

Need new shoes? This is the place to discuss.

Hey, I'm new to offroadtb. I'm looking to due a few changes to my ext but I want to be sure before I make any purchases. I recently installed the ready lift which lifts 2.0" in the front and 1.0" in the rear. Allowing a 32x10.50 tire on factory wheels or offset equivalent. I also purchased 1.5" adapters from mark. The wheels I am looking to purchase are 17x8 black steelies with 5" backspacing. I am going to be on the road more than off but I feel I would enventually regret not getting mud terrains. The tires I am looking to purchase are 255/75/17 bfg mt ta/kms (32.1). I know 32.1 and 32.0 is nothing but I'm not sure how it works in tires. I've looked at the tire chart on here but the smallest lift on there is 2". As pathedic as this question may sound, I just want to play it safe. Since ready lift is 1.0" in the rear would the max tire height have to be exactly 32.0? Also, should these wheels be ok?

Readylift? Doh!

The one where you don't have to use a spring compressor to add the front lift? That one makes the down-limiting component in the suspension the upper ball joint, which could break and come apart.

If you're going to keep it, be extra, extra careful!

Yes, I read about that shortly after I already installed it. I will be on the road much more with light offroading here and there so it doesn't worry me too much.

M/Ts would not be appropriate if your main use is onroad. They'll wear out quicker and end up costing you more. With so few mods done, tires would not be your limiting factor. Once you have more of a lift, armor, gears, etc. and tires become your main limiting factor, then I'd look into M/Ts. But I've got 33" BFG A/Ts and they are awesome in just about every scenario I've put them through.

I had my eye on those too. I was also looking into the Goodyear duratracs. Thanks for your reply
