Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Tire decisions.

Need new shoes? This is the place to discuss.

If I lived closer, I'd be all over that. I'm still undecided on tires, but I am going to stay with our bolt pattern. I just ordered a set of spacers, so tire size will no longer be an issue. Myself, as well as other members, have run up to 285 on a stock rim with no problems. What I have figured me best bet to be is to keep my search going for the next week. If I cannot find something by then, I will visit the tire dealer I talked to the other day and leave with the best choice I can find. Worst case, I just run what I have now until I can find what I really want. I just have this sense of urgency since I want to properly represent the lifted community at the upcoming meet.

It will be lifted for the meet as long as everything gets here in time. Struts went out wed, lift thurs, spacers were ordered fri, picking up tires tomorrow, and shocks shipping mon. I have a lot going on right now, so I'm probably going to have to install it by myself in the driveway when I have a few hours. I'd love to hold a mod meet, but I just don't know when it is going to happen. All of those parts to install, plus the ball joints on the drivers side a new diff seal, and alignment. I'm probably better off doing it here where I have time and a spare car.

Tire were a bust  Pics sent to me must have been a year old. Decided to look for a fair AT setup while I save for my 33" Firestone MTs. Right now I'm looking at three options. Stuck between Yokohama Geolandar ATs, Dayton Timberline ATs, and Goodyear Wrangler ATs. They are all pretty even as far as on and off road manners. Just a matter of who get back to me first.

Yokohama Geolandar ATs would be my choice. Good balance between on and off road performance. Who will you be buying from? If I may ask. :)

Nobody special, just a local guy. I'm looking at a set with a little more than 50% tread left. Something I can run as long as I need to while I put away for the expensive setup. I do like the looks of those the best. Ironically, they are the longest drive for me.
