That's one messed up bearing! How'd you not notice any grinding with no rollers before the seal started walking out?

I confess my ignorance of the problem, on this one. In my own defense, though, I tried and couldn't pin-point the problem. About two months ago, I heard kind of a dull pop, from what sounded like the rear end. Since then, anything above 45, I would get a low whine, which sounded like it was coming from the rear. But... I think I also have a wheel hub starting to go, as I get the whine when I start to turn left, at speeds above 45ish. I assumed the noises were connected, as they started right around the same time. Even though the constant drone was coming from the rear, we all know how some noises can sound like they are coming from one area, when they are not. The last week and a half it had gotten worse, but I had attributed it to brakes in the front going bad. I would get a tick-tick-tick, at wheel speed. When the brakes were applied, it would go away, and I had what would ffel like warped rotors. When I took the wheel seal out, the axle started spitting the rollers at me.

Just my $0.02, but bigger tires. The black on the fender wells makes your wheels look like 14"s, instead of 16"s.

I'm holding off on tires until august. Lots of traveling to do and don't want those miles on M/T's. Planning on 285/75/16 Guard Dogs to even the look out.

Black fenders are there to 1. cover up the fender wrinkles 2. cover up scratches and rust spots. It's temp until I get rhinoliner or something similar. Function over form I'm afraid right now.

Hell mine is still in the middle of a transition stage. i got some work ahead of me coming soon though, most of it "preventative maintanence" though....

Agreed... Mine seems to be in a perpetual stage of transition. Sometimes those transitions take longer than others, but I feel they are that much sweeter when they actually happen. The key is to know what your goal is, then persevere till that goal happens, no matter how discouraging it may be at times. That is the boat I'm in with my regearing, 8.6" upgrade, and lockers. Takes time and money, which I don't have a plethora of. Sometimes I ask myself: "Why am I even doing this? I'll still need this, and that. More time and money..." The guys who seem to be able to do it ALL, in a matter of weeks, are my biggest motivation killer, sometimes. I know that's only because they have been budgeting better than I have, or make more money, or combo of the two, though. I have my goals, and my mission plan, though. So, I keep sticking with it.

Heck, we need upgraded diffs, Radflos to replace the shot BDS spacers, finish the rock sliders, finish the body work on the fenders, clean up and repaint the roof rack, and get a front bumper. Nevermind my sunroof that's been broken since last August.

Your problem is you allow Mike to divert his attention on other rides. Imagine if all you guys had to build up was the TB. It'd be done in a month!

mine has been in perpetual holding stage... it got thwarted at wheel spacers and 265/70/17's... due to finances... but i finally washed it today

Yeah, the GXP was supposed to replace the TB as my DD and he was going to drive the TB. I haven't driven the GXP once yet.....So perhaps it's time that he drives the TB to bring his focus back into proper alignment? Or just deliver the ultimatum, I get the GXP until the TB is done.

Went shopping around at a junkyard in Orlando, suprised to find as many 360s as I did! (4). Aquired replacement mirrors, some badges, two trail spare front hubs, and a door for the cabin filter.
FWIW, the door for the cabin air filter came off a 2004 TB LS, and i know it was previously discussed that it was only the 02-03 models with it.

one of them still had the motor in it! It was pretty much intact (salvage-wise), totaled from a rear-end collision. Only 2wd, though. Wanted to get some some control arms to have as spares, but all of them were rusted through.
