Nothing like making yourself at home without explaining yourself, huh?

Well, hey. I'm Josh. I live in Georgia, split my time between Statesboro and northern Atlanta area. I'm currently attending Georgia Southern University in Logistics and German as a sophomore, with thoughts of transferring to UGA in the spring or fall. Went through 4 years of NJROTC, and entering my second in AROTC. Bought my TB because my '86 Camaro wasn't reliable anymore. I instantly started researching everything about the truck upon purchase, and naturally (through Google and TV) I ended up here. I knew I wanted to lift it, but I didn't realize how much of a hobby this was going to be-- and I'm loving every painful minute of it. Right now, I wheel with a few friends in any place we can (legally). I helped found my school's offroading group, and I'm part of the GA offroad group as well.

As for the plans, it's pretty much a mudding truck. I hate to admit it, but unless I go north, all we do down here is bog. I'd like to do a SAS swap on it in the future, but funds are tight as it is, so we'll see. When I get tires on it (long story), I'd like to attend TECORE and meet some of you all. I have gotten a general impression from a lot of you based on posts (both on and off topic), so it'd be nice to get a face to those impressions.

I'm usually lurking daily, but I'm becoming more involved with the community the more I learn and apply the knowledge to my own truck.

Anyway, figured I should probably post up one of these.

I try to hit Georgia at least once a year, usually at Country Fried Weekend in January. Maybe you can come next year.

That's like saying I go to the corner 7-11 for the best IPA I can find.

Face it, there is no reason to live in Florida, except money, and that's gotta be available elsewhere. Why can't there be more government/military facilities in Utah or Colorado?

Tons of gov/military areas out there, just not taking out a ad on c-list for them!

Everyone is downsizing though or being eliminated entirely. Been looking for months.

:finger: On the bright side, you get better gas mileage than I do. Damn hills here make my cruise control freak out. I have tons of family down in all parts of Florida so I get to experience that life quite often.

Absolutely. That's about an hour away from my home, just depends on my school schedule at that point.

Josh, welcome! And I have to say I'm impressed you ran a multi-quote reply. I've spent YEARS on other sites trying to educate folks how polite it is to do multiquote. The ones who don't are sometimes secret post count whores, although I've been known to backslide once in a while.

Haha, thanks! I've been around PHP-type boards for a little more 8 years now. My first forum threatened bans for anyone multi-posting and necroposting, so I've picked up some etiquette. Time also aids realization that half of those with high post counts are bigger idiots than those who aren't signed up yet.

There are but I hear they are hard to get into. There are several in Nevada as well that are the same way.
