Changed the oil in the ol TB the other day after the previous owner neglected to do it for over a year and a half... I was a little reluctant to add the whole 7qts, mainly because I've never heard of any gasoline engine taking that much. Not even my V6 explorer took that much. So I only added 5.5-6 qts of 5w-30 castrol advanced full synthetic with a fram extreme guard filter for full synthetic oils. I went cheap this time because I just want to get the engine feeling a little better after not having fresh oil for over a year! However, my oil pressure gauge is jumpy now and it wasn't like that before. So while at idle, the pressure reads 40psi, but when I start to drive it jumps to 60psi. Just wondering what everyone else has experienced and if I should take out any more oil.
Naw they have random number generator when come to capacity.dvanbramer88 wrote:And what would posses you not to believe that Owners Manual for your vehicle when it came to oil capacity? You think the manufacturer is trying to trick you?
