Lift/Tire Size Chart

Need new shoes? This is the place to discuss.

Hi Cody, after the original chart I have only added folks that have requested their build get added or had tire sizes different than already listed. I'll add you to the list.

Totally :hijack:

darring70 wrote:I did not know you can run 35's on 3.73 gears

Yes, you can, its borderline for just about everything, I have no real power problems climbing I-70 and maintaining 75 mph.

HARDTRAILZ wrote:If gearing was lower it would help keep the trans locked up during interstate driving. Anything over 65 n it still wants to drop lockup which heats the trans and hurts mpg.

This by a long shot, without the cooler, a 15-20 min drive would bring the temps in the trans to 220+. I can't say much about mileage, I think I've only calculated it once, usually my mindset on it is, "is the fuel gauge above half? Yes=good no=get gas". My next upgrades are going to be a 8.6 with 4.56 regears.

I was about to ask that question, I have my 265/70/17 and I noticed that I have to rim my inner front fender.
Thanks

I had to hit that lower support arm with a hammer a few times but no trimming required.
I'll update the charts to have a ? because some need trimming and others do not.

I trimmed it right behind the support arm... a pie shape, about .5" at the widest. Not a big deal at all. Not even sure I can call it trimming.

Just to add to the fit guide. I have 20x8.5 with 15 offset. Tires are 275/55R20. They clear the ball joint with no spacers. Had to do very minor trimming. I do have 2 1/2" suspension and 3" body lift. 32x11

Ok every one, here's the deal. I am going to leave the 3" suspension and 3" body lifts on, but the 35" are off and up for sale. I am puting on NEW fenders, and want to use the tallest tire I can, without having to cut the fenders. Cutting plastic is fine since most of it is already cut or gone. I will need spacers I think, so I am also willing to trade my 35" rimes and tires for a set of H3 rims and whatever the cost of the tires. Or what ever I am trying to say.... if you had questions or a comment, just hit me up.

I looked at the chart, and I'd like to ask a question: Can I get 265/65r17 to fit on a stock 06 TB LT? I'd like to step up in size but I am not ready for a lift. Having read the chart, it says N for 2,4,6,8 in lift. There is no one to confirm (by name on the right side of the chart) that they will fit. Can someone give me a little clarification, as I might just be misunderstanding the chart?

yes but check out the other threads. Stickies under wheels/tires. That size is 30.6" the max tire size that will clear the upper ball joint with out spacers but some tire pattern might hit UBT.

you won't need a lift but depending on your actual tire size you could need wheel spacers.
You are likely fine unless the tires you pick run big.

to add to this 265/60/18 on factory Denali wheels barely squeaks by. Might grind a bit to make me feel better. Stock everything at this point til my MarkMC lift goes on this weekend along with Z71 springs. It has about 1/4 of an inch space actually, but hard to tell from the angle of the shot. Cooper Discover AT3's.

I've been running 265/60-18 Hankook Dynapro AT's for awhile now, have about the same clearance.

Very curious to see how they look after the lift, be sure to post pics
