if it isn't leaking much I wouldn't worry about it a lot.
For the front one can you just remove the harmonic balancer and get out without removing the crank?

My front has leaked through at least two tecores.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

I expect it could get gradually worse over time but if it isn't leaking bad I don't think it matter much.
What oil do you use? I've read that some of the "high mileage" oils have additives that help seals for vehicles with a lot of miles.

Front end...and just your standard/suggested oil..nothing special.

This would be the front end, Mike.

The front is quite a bit easier to change, but I still wouldn't worry about it right this second, unless it's just dumping oil. It's not something that gets worse really fast or anything.

Excellent. Thank you very much! We're a solid go then unless I screw up badly. All worries are gone!

the reason I ask about your oil is some folks on jeep forum feel their heaps leak worse with synthetic over conventional oil.
Best option is likely to keep doing what you are doing and change the seal out when you get a chance.

If I don't come down with moots I believe I'll be there with my own rig. I can push a brake pedal pretty well and I can use the gas pedal fine. This week I'll take some longer late night drives to make sure the leg will hold up on the ride down there. I've started gathering up camping gear. I have every intention of making it happen... just don't expect me to run or walk fast... can't do it.

Moots is still on the fence, last time we talked he's still waiting to make sure he can get off work.

I Sincerely hope that both of you (and your rigs) can come down. I think it'd be great to convoy down together.

Jason, Matt, and anyone else departing from North of Pennsylvania:

Time is quickly approaching to either figure out if you're going, and coordinate if we're going down together as a group. Please let me know as soon as you can for both - my number is 609-203-9945.

As far as anyone South of Pennsylvania, but North of VA - if you want to meet up along the way we can as well. Just message me with details or something along those.

I'd really like to go down as a group.

Matt and I are riding down together. We've got a little work to do on his Envoy but nothing too crazy. He's already got the big stuff done.
I'm pretty relieved that we're going together, I was a bit nervous about the drive. lol
