just bought an 05 trailblazer ls with 100,000 miles on it. i know it's just now gettin' broke in.
lookin' to do some performance and suspension mods in the next few months.
i know i'll get good advice and info here, and i plan to pass it along to others in the forum.

Welcome!

I'm partial to the '06-08 5.3L SWB, but that's just me...

Whatever they did to get the extra 20hp must have been bad cause our engine was on Ward's top ten list 02-05 then fell off for some reason...

everywhere i've looked on the "interweb" says the '02 - '05 4200 vortec is rated at 275 hp. actually the numbers range from 270 to 291...... anyone know what the ACTUAL hp rating is?

.......on a related topic in this thread, i'd have prefered to have found one with a V8, but i'm pretty happy with the inline 6. inline 6's are my second favorite engine next to a chevy V8.
