it seems to me that being "trail ready" is highly contingent upon just how exactly one defines a "trail"

Good point, I've been holding off because most of my ventures have been bumpy versions of exhibit A for the most part.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

Mike, I think "Trail Ready" is meant so basically anyone can get a ranking. The "Offroad Rated" is for the more aggressive wheelers.
I think the main point is folks are using their trucks and doing some reports so we can all follow along.
"Please consider a search before posting. Folks on this site PIONEERED functional offroad use of these trucks."

What Chris said!

I like reading good trip writeups! You can tell when someone spends a lot of time on them... and in-particular they need rewarding.

Would there be any possible way to pull some of the old threads from TV and put them on here? It would be cool to have all of the offroad pics and info on ORTB.
Just thinking out loud.

Hey, the first ever lifted TB anybody ever heard of, JamesDub, posted a picture of a way-too-easy trail once that I had to "modify" to warn him about all the horrible obstacles he ALMOST damaged himself on:

The problem with the Trailblazer is, people think you know what you're doing.

Thanks for the rank ups! Wished I'd gotten better pics, and the surprised look on the guy's face on the atv, that saw us coming down the trail. I had 4 passengers, a dog and all the gear, and didn't get any better pictures. :wallbash:

How about a rank up to Offroad Rated?
viewtopic.php?f=57&t=3114

viewtopic.php?f=57&t=3530

I'd probably classify the first two as not stock passable. Probably would have gotten stuck pretty quick if I had the running boards and no lift lol. :)
