welcome Richard, I see you already have your location in the right format, good job. Here are a few links to help answer many of the lift related questions you'll have. Once you decide the path you want to go post up a link on your plans so we can review and make sure you have everything you need.

BTW, if you do not know the maintenance history on your TB, you might want to go ahead and do a complete fluid change, especially the transfercase which requires the GM AutoTrac II fluid only available through your dealer.

Hey, you certainly found the right place to get your questions answered. Read Read Read, that is the best advice I can give you.

Let us know when your ready to lift, there are a few of us that are pretty close that may be able to give you a hand on the install. Hardtrailz, Wink and I did an install for a Soldier a couple years ago from Campbell, he drove up and met us on Knox for the install. I am certainly jealous of the automotive facilities that are available to you.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.

I have 10 years prior service Army, separating in 2006. You have a friend here and I will be honored to turn a wrench on your truck when the time comes. Don't hesitate to ask brother.

Welcome! And thank you for your service! Yes, the best thing you can do is search before you ask. Some people on here take repetitive questions personal. Lol
