Racing springs to replace factory springs

Yea, exactly. Might not be too hard to fabricate something that would work (basically a sombrero with a hole in the top). Issue is it prob needs to be heat treated so it doesn't open up around the shock's collar.

An enterprising gentleman from from FL (formerly from IL) could even incorporate a bit of height adjustment into it, for a different length of spring, if he chose...

Began taking everything apart but soon realized I reinstalled all parts after the last install with an impact gun I borrowed from a friend so I'm gonna have to do the install when I have time to go to the shop on post to use their tools. It's always something.

however the impact gun is really nice to remove the axle nut and the nut for the lower strut mount.

Doing it by hand is usually no problem but I tightened the strut nut as much as possible but I'm gonna give it another go since I doused everything in pb blaster lol

I agree with Donny and Kyle, if you don't have a breaker bar you need one. I can take my 24 inch 1/2 inch bar with a short piece of pipe and get most anything off.

Lol sorry y'all, trying to get around to it but my son (18 mos) is home sick today so that pretty much has negated my day off. this is soo frustrating maybe I can convince my boss that I'll be teaching her how to fix her truck and she'll come with me tomorrow lol. I will get these springs on before next week that's a guarantee because this needs to happen. Sorry to disappoint y'all I should have posted this whole thing AFTER I got them on but y'all know how it is. Get all excited about the possibility so you have to post immediately after buying.
